Care Package Giveaway

Wednesday, June 20, 2012

Blogging- it sounds easy, but can be hard. Probably preaching to the choir on this account, but the social media maze that comes with the territory of being a blogger can be daunting. However, oh-so-slowly I'm figuring it out. So, I'm psyched to announce that Never Fully Dressed (Without a Style) now has a Facebook Page.

1stClassMail

To celebrate, I'm hosting a giveaway on Never Fully Dressed! The winner will have one of the care packages I often write about winging its way to them via the postal service!

 If you'd like to enter:
1) Follow me (You can do so via bloglovin or google both links are in my sidebar) and
2) leave a comment below telling me about a special postage item you have received in the mail before  (letter, postcard, package, shoe, whatever!). This is open to international readers; just remember it might take a little longer to get a package through the mail to you.

For additional entries:
* 'Like' Never Fully Dressed (Without a Style)'s new Facebook Page!

The winner will be drawn a week from today, on June 27th. Leave a separate comment for each entry, so I know you've been to the new Facebook Page, and, lastly, make sure your email address is available, so I can contact you.

Best of luck!

  1. great idea! a few years ago, I mean like probably 12 or so :) my Dad sent me a birthday package to my little rental house. I was at work, so the package was left outside on my doorstep. Some kids must have come along and opened it because when I got home there was just an empty box laying in the yard. But, upon further look, I found a book of Elizabeth and Robert Browning love poetry thrown into the backyard. When I asked my Dad what else he may have sent, he said several CDs. We were happy because the most important part of the gift was the love poetry anyway. The thieves didn't see it that way I guess :)

    1. I'm so sorry that thieves got to your package first! But, as you say, love is the most important part of anything we are gifted with! <3

  2. wonderful idea! My favorite piece of postage that I have ever received would probably be a little note that my boyfriend sent me while he was away on a trip. He was off hiking the Oregon section of the Pacific Crest Trail and was going to be gone for a little more than a month. It was the first time we had been away from each other for that long since we had started dating seriously. The letter was nothing more than a note torn out of a tiny notebook but it meant the world to me. And two years later I still have it pinned to the wall above my desk so that I can see it everyday :)

  4. Oh, this is tough! When I was younger, I wrote back and forth to an elderly lady in a nursing home. Her first card that she sent me was so cute! It had rabbits all over it, and she wrote in the card how much it meant to her to have somebody take time out of their day to write to a lonely woman. It was so sweet! I still have the card on my dresser :)

    1. That is so sweet! Seeing my grandmother- who is very mobily limited and not able to get out much- when she receives a card in the mail really does send that message home. Sometimes its just nice to know that people beyond those you see everyday care. Lovely!

  5. I met my partner online and we wrote letters back and forth for quite a while before we could meet in person. One day I got home from school (this is over ten years ago now!) and he'd sent me a parcel full of my favourite treats, including a tin of milo. It was so sweet, and it still makes me smile to think of now. :)
