What I Wore: Welcoming the Christmas Season

What I Wore: Hat ( Target), Sweater (Knitted Dove), Skirt (Pin-Up Girl), Petticoat (local store), Nylons, Boots (Old)

It's snowing out (thank goodness outfit photos are already done, right?). There is something, admittedly, about being inside and toasty-warm with a cup of tea at hand and wooly socks on toesies that makes it lovely fun to enjoy it snowing outside. But Winter Wonderland turns to slush and you need to be going about your day and it can be darn hard to feel cute without frostbite. Scarfs and hats and owl sweaters help with that though. Tall boots to tromp around in, nylons and sneaky-layering with petticoats underneath a skirt certainly don't hurt either. Hope you're keeping warm and finding lots of fun both indoors and outdoors as the Christmas Season is starting up!

This past weekend alone we went to the mountains for Christmas trees (a family friend's tree. We'll get ours next weekend), trimmed another tree, roasted marshmallows while watching a lighted parade, walked about a craft fair, and more! Anyone else's December starting to look busy with season going-ons too?

  1. I really need to get myself a petticoat! I've been looking for one for ages, but I suppose I'll just have to buckle down and buy one online one of these days. I love what it adds to this look. And I LOVE your owl sweater! So very fun :)

    1. Petticoats online are so hard to find. Solanah of Vintage Vixen did a review of some from an american company that looked good, but they (like more I found) were kinda expensive. Weirdly, I got mine at a store in Portland and every store in the block had petticoats. So weird. But, yeah, I use mine waaay more than I'd ever thought I would. They are fun. Can't wait to see you in one!

  11. aww sounds like you're having a lovely start of winter! I kind of forget about all those sweet winter activities with it being completely sunny here (although I'm not complaining), but mostly w/ all my school projects right now (which I certainly complain enough about!). anyway, you look absolutely adorable here, love that sweater w/ the scarf & long skirt + boots is so great on you! great idea w/ the petticoat, such a fun flare to that skirt & I really love the last pic.
