A good button-up is probably one of the best purchases I've made for my closet. I actually own more than one- in case one of them is in the wash or the hamper you know?
Yeah.
That is how utilized my white button-ups are. But looking at the pictures above, that shouldn't surprise you none. Still, I'm aware they're not everyone's cup of tea. What about you?
Are button-ups fashion do or don'ts for your closet?
SO many good outfit ideas here. I swear lady you are the most creative fashion blogger I know!

Menswear to girly- my style, I guess!
DeleteThanks Jessi!
Love how you wore this. I usually pretend my button ups are cardigans, or layer them under something for the peeping collar effect!

I definitely need to try layering my collared shirts under things more :D
DeleteThat first shot is my favourite of you.
Reply DeleteI'm not a huge fan of button-ups but of course I still have some in my wardrobe. They are a staple necessity and if they fit right can be cute. I normally end up sewing on little snap closures so they don't gape at my chest.

IHa, thanks! A fun shoot.
Delete've had some button-ups that gap awkwardly too. The right fit is so important.
The crisp white shirt is the ONE thing I have always needed in my wardrobe and have never had! You rock all of these so well!
Reply DeleteA crisp white shirt is definitely an asset to a closet. Thank you btw!

Thank you Kristian for the lovely comment you left on my blog today :). I love it when new comments lead me to interesting and stylish blogs like yours. I love all your takes on the white button up shirt, but I am especially obsessed with your full skirts! They are gorgeous, where did you get those?
Reply DeleteAnyway, you definitely found a new follower in me, and hope you come back and visit me often at abrilscorner.com

Thank you Abril!
DeleteThe floral skirt was thrifted, but the black one is from pinupgirl.com
I love all of these ideas - I might just have to go and get myself a white shirt now!
Reply DeleteYes, and share a picture of your outfit too! :D
DeleteSo many ideas!! I have a white shirt, but to buttons don't go all the way down, so it's not that versatile. I would love to get a new one from J.crew :) x
Reply DeleteBet J. Crew has great ones that will last too!
DeleteThis shirt really is versatile and you're giving me so much inspiration of how to liven up a plain white button down! I love how different it looks each time. I think my favorite is tied over the blue dress!
Reply DeleteThank you Elana!
DeleteI like it with the bright, colorful skirt!

White button ups really are a staple! I've had a difficult time trying to find the perfect one, I like a softer material but most white blouse that are not made of stiff cotton tend to be really see through. (And I'm lazy and I hate having to layer a cami underneath.) I love pretty much every look, but the white button up with the suspenders and the vibrant floral skirt are especially pretty. Two completely different ends of the spectrum but so lovely still and it really shows that a button up can find into every style.
Reply DeleteIt is nice a white button-up fits into all styles so well.
DeleteWhat type of materials do you prefer (a soft cotton or another fabric)?
White button-ups are a MUST!! I have two: a ladies' and a mens' white button-up. I wear them both constantly!

A ladies shirt would have darts and a men's wouldn't, right? (still trying to tell the difference!)
DeletePS Thank you!
PS--forgot to mention ow lovely all your looks are, too. ;) Looooove them!
Reply Deletei love this— the simplest things are the most versatile! i love a good button down— i've been looking to replace mine so hopefully i'll have a newly thrifted one soon!
Reply DeleteGood luck on the thrifting hunt!
DeleteAll of your remixes are so cute! I really need to invest in a classic white shirt like this. I can't believe I don't own one!
Reply DeleteThanks Tieka!
DeleteThese are great outfits. They are fun and cool at the same time! Inspiring me to rethink about wearing more white shirts!
