What I Wore: Dress (Gift; Similar Here), Sweater (Stitch Fix; Similar Here), Boots (Similar Here), Socks (Similar Here), Necklace (Popbasic; Similar Here), Bracelet (Popbasic; Similar Here)

I love the Simon and Garfunkel song and especially its place in The Graduate, but here, something else makes itself known in the silence- The Ice groans! The sound itself is not unlike that of whales singing to each other, I think.

We had a few days of a warm spell. It was warm enough in fact, for certain parts of the reservoir to melt and for me to wear something with a skirt. This particular combination is something I've been wearing on and off all winter. It is comfy yet makes me feel elegant. It makes me think of roses in a vase and of childhood dance lessons and the scent of Irish Breakfast Tea. Do you have certain items in your closet that always evoke a specific  thought or memory?

  11. This is lovely. That skirt is just a wonderful color, and the whole outfit matches the surroundings beautifully. Clothing is definitely an emotional thing! I always remember what I felt/did in certain outfits. Perhaps I'm strange that way...haha.

  12. I have this red tank top that I remember buying in high school (don't wear it anymore)- but I remember it was the first time I was trying to buy clothes that had some sort of emotional connection- not just the same practical outfit.

    1. I always thought your first forays into personal style was wearing your dad's shirts in middle school. In retrospect, it was a neat, gamine look :)

I love that you still have that tank top though :)

  17. That is such a lovely soft elegant look. You have a great eye for combining different textures.

The Graduate and the soundtrack is one of my favourites of all time.

Definately clothing brings back many memories. That is why I often have a hard time getting rid of clothing. One leather jacket I had (bomber style like the one from Top Gun) travelled all throughout Europe and North America with me. I finally ended up giving it to my Dad, so at least it stays in the family.

  22. haha the ice groan is certainly something i know nothing of, more like the "heat moan" in the horrendous summer months. but anyway, you look gorgeous kristian! i love these pastels in winter and the perfectly placed layers that appear to add some warmth but still are dainty and not bulky.
