What I Wore: Skirt (Hell Bunny), Top (Old Navy), Belt (Similar Here),  Shoes (Old Navy), Necklace (Popbasic), Hat (Similar Here), Purse (Similar Here)

Oh, yes, like the Beatles' song says, "Its getting better all the time!" As has been hinted at, things have gotten pretty crazy around these parts lately- and  for good reason. I am finally going to have a classroom of my own next year! Yes- I got a teaching job! I've known about this for about a week, but was keeping mum until it was official.

This has been a long journey that I won't bore you with (long story short- I entered college hearing of impending teacher shortages. The recession happened right before I graduated and suddenly it was all about a "glut of teachers" instead), but really, this job seems to fit my strengths and what I can best offer to students and their education best. So, definitely feeling where I am is where I was meant to be. I'll be the Gifted and Talented teacher for all the elementary schools in our district. Not gonna lie- this is going to be a huge challenge, since not only will it be my first year teaching, but I will also be taking classes of my own to get my Gifted and Talented endorsement. In the short term, I'm trying to get ducks in a row to take as many of my classes as I can this summer, but will be finishing up a 12 credit program to endorsement throughout the year. But I am so excited for this coming year- excited to be meeting students; to be making lessons; and to be figuring out what these students need and how to show them that.

In terms of the Never Fully Dressed,  things will probably be changing, most likely later on this summer or fall. What that will look like, I'm still uncertain. But this is space has become it's own fantastic journey, so don't doubt I'll still be here- Same Bat Time. Same Bat Station.

  21. Kristian- CONGRATS! I have to say I spent a couple years in G&T in elementary school and I still remember a lot of it. Any ideas what your curriculum will be like yet? I'm sure you're still working it all out...just curious. We spent an entire unit on enigmas, the Loch Ness monster, Bigfoot, etc.

These pictures are beautiful! That backdrop is just stunning. I really hope to visit Wyoming one day. And that skirt just can't do wrong.

    ♥ perfectly Priya
