Something about autumn just brings out my love for a preppy look. Maybe its that nostalgia for school starting bak up (well, nostalgia for experiencing it as a student, since it is a reality of my job as a teacher). But seriously, pop a collar out from under another top and I'm sold. Maybe that's why I was so taken with this outfit that I shamelessly recreated it here for you. Maybe the fact that it's Taylor Swift should be embarrassing, but hey- she's got style. And speaks out about why feminism is important. And writes fun songs so... then again, maybe not so embarrassing after all.
Do you ever get inspiration (or, in my case practically rip-off) celebrity styles?
I actually think she has fabulous style and this is a great outfit. Especially the berry colour of the trousers.
Reply DeleteYou hair is looking really great here.

Beautiful pop of color with the jeans <3 The material looks like corduroy? If so, even better! :D

Taylor Swift has amazing style, so nothing embarrassing about that. This outfit is fabulous - I love preppy looks in the fall, too.
Reply DeleteI feel like my style has gotten so preppy too! I agree, it must be that fall/school starting vibe (especially for us teachers!).
Reply DeleteI ashamedly love Taylor's style as well. You did such a great job replicating her outfit! The pant is such a great color.
Those jeans are the PERFECT colour of magenta/mulberry goodness. Fabulous.
Reply DeleteI love this preppy look! Perfect if you are a teacher! Also, the look above is totally a classic look, not even Taylor Swift can own it. :D

Idealism never goes out of fashion
ahahah :) you're funny. I'd say no need to feel embarrassed. Though I know none of her songs (yes, it appears I live under a rock), I know her style and it's really very nice and so is this outfit. I don't find many living celebs inspiring but that may be because of living under said rock. Lately though, Ines de La Fressange (coincidentally, she wears outfits very similar to this one).
Reply DeleteThis is such a great outfit and totally worth stealing from Taylor Swift :)
Reply DeleteI love the preppy look on you! Nice job re-creating T Swifts look, and no shame in that :) Your hair is looking good!
Reply Deletelove your pants. you look gorgeous :)

Autumn is so the perfect time for preppy looks, though! Haha I don't know what it is, either. Maybe it's because that's when school is in full swing and the whole preppy/scholastic vibe is just swelling within you. I love the layering up top though, and the color of those pants are PERF!
Reply DeleteI love your pants, such a pretty color and perfect for fall. I've seen a couple other gals pop a collar underneath a sweater. Can you believe I've never tried that myself before? Once this hot SoCal weather cools down a bit, it's one of the first things I want to try :). Love your whole outfit!

Well, I can see why you haven't tried this combo before if you live in SoCal! Hope you get the chance to try it this winter though ;)
DeleteLove the color of your pants! Are you keeping your hair this shade of blonde or are you going to continue down the slippery slope of actual blonde?
Reply DeleteI will probably be returning to my more regular shades. Too much upkeep though it has been a fun change ;)
DeleteYour eyes and hair pop with this outfit! Looks good
