There's something fantastically nostalgic about trains, I think. I love walking inside cabooses, trying to imagine the journey a person would take, especially if the caboose has been abandoned, an you can see what was left behind. I sometimes walk into abandoned buildings too, and always wonder what would make a person leave in such a hurry they leave the dishes out, neatly stacked and waiting to be put into the cupboard. Or if they meant to take the train schedule with them, or leave it be. This depot, is not, obviously, abandoned though. It’s found new life as part of a gallery and park.
As for my outfit, after finally embracing the tights-under-shorts trend, I find myself very excited for shorts and summer. This was a fun play on stripes. I think one set being vertical and one horizontal keeps it from being too fugitive-from-a-chain-gang. I quite like it actually. Perfect for taking a trip (though, not sadly, on a train...Oh well. Next time.)
