April 2014 in Review

Wednesday, April 30, 2014

April has already come and gone! Spring is here! Well, sort of. Wyoming can't make up it's mind. One day we're in the sixties and seventies, the next there's snow. That tease of good weather makes one want to be outside, in it all though! There's always something about spring that makes one feel new again. So- here are new outfits, new (old) movies and much, much more that April brought with it!

New (Old) Movies
Take some style inspiration from the blondes in Hitchcock's North by Northwest and Rear Window. Or, if you're in need of a smile, try watching the iconic Singin' in the Rain.

New Mail
This month, we talked about how to write a letter to a politician. On a lighter note, I also shared some of my favorite stationary items and shared what was in the latest Popbasic Box. By the way, if you're interested in buying Popbasic's Ashbury Collection- or any future collection!- This link will get you fifteen dollars off (Even if you've already signed up with the company!)

New Plans
April has been a crazy month. It started off with a road trip over our spring break. Along the way, I got to meet up with fellow Flock Together Blogger- Hannah of Braided Bandit. It was a first time meeting another blogger in real life for us both; she's a doll.

On the blog, these lovely suggestions set the tone for the month. Other ladies got to spread some positivity when they they shared what their favorite physical feature was.  This month, I was tickled to be featured on Anna's blog, and I also was lucky enough to be interviewed by Popbasic!

  1. I really enjoyed that French eating article. Now I'm wishing I had a croissant and cup of hot cocoa for breakfast myself...hehe.

That rose print skirt of yours is one of my favorites. So elegant and classic!

All those movies! North by Northwest is up there on my favorites list. Seriously, is there anything better than Hitchcock and Cary Grant? :-)

    1. I wouldn't want a tattoo, but... it definitely opens my eyes to a double standard!

  4. I still can't get over the fact that you and Hannah had the chance to meet. I wish we could all get together, that would be so much fun!

"Equality doesn’t mean women will all make the same choice. It means women will be treated the same no matter what choices they make." Smart girl!
I read the one about babies and tattoos on Facebook too - lololol

    1. Interestingly, a blogger friend (Ashley of Southern California Girl, who commented above actually) wrote about her decision to be a stay at home mom after recently having their daughter. She worked as a surgical nurse and said (not sure if online or in real life) that she felt some backlash for that decision from some feminists, which is so sad. People need to make the choices right for them; I love how this young woman put it :D
