What I Wore: Sweater (ASOS), Tights (Target), Skirt (Gap, Similar Here), Boots (Similar Here), Pearls (Similar Here)
Last week was our school district's Spring Break, so we got the heck out of a Dodge- for a few days at least. We headed down to the southern part of the state. Laramie is the home of my alma mater and now is also the home of our good friend Shannon (You've met her before here).
We made it down to Boulder to see Hannah of Braided Bandit on the weekend, and during the week, The Boy and I had lazy mornings at the coffee shop (Oh, I am having dreams of their Cambric Tea!) and in the afternoons had adventures with Shannon- including seeing the World's Smallest Book and also The Grand Budapest Hotel.
Not that it was all sunshine and summertime in Laramie (the town is at an elevation of 7200 ft. after all), but we came home to a snow storm. Most of the snow is melting and at least the sunshine is here when evening comes, but it seems we are still, mostly, waiting for spring. Luckily, a cozy sweater makes the wait seem- a little- less long.
Fun! I love this location! I love mustard yellow... one of my all time favorite colors.

Sounds like you had a lovely Spring Break :) I really like this outfit. The mustard skirt and cream sweater is a great combination and the background matches perfectly too.
Reply DeleteLove the colors here! that skirt is great, and I love it paired with those boots.
Reply DeleteThis is gorgeous! I love the color of your skirt, and it looks lovely paired with neutrals. You are so put together!
Reply DeleteGreat photos. And I love this color combination. Gray tights are so perfect for spring when you still have to wear tights but can't stand to wear black any more.
Reply DeleteYeah, I don't like black tights or nylons either :D
DeleteI've seen that sweater at another on-line shop and coveted it on first sight. I love the way you styled it here. The pleated skirt is fantastic, too. Great color!
Reply DeleteOh and I sent you an email about our upcoming collaboration! I know our emails have a tendency to get misplaced, so I wanted to give you a heads up, just in case you didn't receive it. :D

Yes, I did get your email :D
DeleteAW! How awesome that you got to see Hannah! I hope you guys had a dashing good time. Dashing good!
Reply DeleteThese pictures are pretty darn snazzy. I am so in love with that pleated skirt. Mustard can be so difficult to pull off, but you did it perfectly. The sheen is especially delicious. :D
Mustard is one of my favorite colors to wear (weirdly i never manage to pull off any other color of yellow though), so I'm glad it worked for you!
DeleteSounds like such a great spring break! I love that you ensemble here seems to echo the natural beauty of the rock. There are gold and cream tones in both, what a perfect setting.
Reply DeleteAlso, how fun to see Hannah! I hope to meet some other bloggers someday, I just never travel anywhere, haha!
You know, Rapid City is about the same distance from me as Boulder was :)
DeleteMaybe we can make something happen (I think the half way point would be Casper, but who wants to go to Casper.... something else maybe!)
Wow what great photos!
Reply DeleteI love that skirt too. Classic with a twist.
Did you like that movie? I was thinking of going to see it.
bisous

You should definitely go. I adored it. It had everything I loved about Wes Anderson films; I don't always love his films but this had all the good stuff. Plus, it was a story about a mentor/mentored person and you don't find that type of story much, which is too bad.
Deletei think i would go mental if i had to endure one more snow storm- hopefully spring finds you soon! and i love this outfit- the pearls were just such a lovely, perfect touch :)

Ah, we are in the middle of another snow storm. Oh, well!
DeleteThanks Marlen!
This is such a pretty outfit! I love how the colors are paired together, and that the rocky backdrop perfectly compliments your ensemble.
Reply DeleteBy the way, I also wanted to let you know that I nominated your blog for a Liebster award :)
Oh, thank you so much!
DeleteThis outfit makes me happy that we are now moving towards cooler seasons (though it has been a warm autumn so far). Love that yellow! Makes me so happy!
