What I Wore: Sweater (ASOS), Tights (Target), Skirt (Gap, Similar Here), Boots (Similar Here), Pearls (Similar Here)

Last week was our school district's Spring Break, so we got the heck out of a Dodge- for a few days at least. We headed down to the southern part of the state. Laramie is the home of my alma mater and now is also the home of our good friend Shannon (You've met her before here).

We made it down to Boulder to see Hannah of Braided Bandit on the weekend, and during the week, The Boy and I had lazy mornings at the coffee shop (Oh, I am having dreams of their Cambric Tea!) and in the afternoons had adventures with Shannon- including seeing the World's Smallest Book and also The Grand Budapest Hotel

Not that it was all sunshine and summertime in Laramie (the town is at an elevation of 7200 ft. after all), but we came home to a snow storm. Most of the snow is melting and at least the sunshine is here when evening comes, but it seems we are still, mostly, waiting for spring. Luckily, a cozy sweater makes the wait seem- a little- less long.

  7. Great photos. And I love this color combination. Gray tights are so perfect for spring when you still have to wear tights but can't stand to wear black any more.

  8. I've seen that sweater at another on-line shop and coveted it on first sight. I love the way you styled it here. The pleated skirt is fantastic, too. Great color!

Oh and I sent you an email about our upcoming collaboration! I know our emails have a tendency to get misplaced, so I wanted to give you a heads up, just in case you didn't receive it. :D

  9. AW! How awesome that you got to see Hannah! I hope you guys had a dashing good time. Dashing good!

These pictures are pretty darn snazzy. I am so in love with that pleated skirt. Mustard can be so difficult to pull off, but you did it perfectly. The sheen is especially delicious. :D

  10. Sounds like such a great spring break! I love that you ensemble here seems to echo the natural beauty of the rock. There are gold and cream tones in both, what a perfect setting.
Also, how fun to see Hannah! I hope to meet some other bloggers someday, I just never travel anywhere, haha!

    1. You know, Rapid City is about the same distance from me as Boulder was :)

Maybe we can make something happen (I think the half way point would be Casper, but who wants to go to Casper.... something else maybe!)

I love that skirt too. Classic with a twist.

Did you like that movie? I was thinking of going to see it.

    1. You should definitely go. I adored it. It had everything I loved about Wes Anderson films; I don't always love his films but this had all the good stuff. Plus, it was a story about a mentor/mentored person and you don't find that type of story much, which is too bad.
