What I Wore: Coat(Etsy; Similar Here), Blazer (Old; Similar Here), Sweater (Stitchfix; Similar Here), Jeans (Gap), Boots (Old; Similar Here), Scarf (Gift; Similar Here)

As if the weather gods sensed people would be traveling this coming week, Winter Has Come. And come to stay by the look of it! Though that was not keeping people inside- Saturday alone was a-buzzing with a fund-raising Zumba class, a following benefit lunch, a craft bazaar, and the annual turkey shoot (You do not shoot turkeys. You shoot bebe guns to win fowls) all downtown. I found the cold a bit more intimidating with a scarf layered over a coat layered over a blazer layered over a sweater. Instead, the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special far more enticing, though we did make it to some of the other listed events too.  Of course, a sinus infection was also a great motivator for staying bundled and safely inside...

Still, it is pretty, all that snow. So long as all My People get through the roads safely, I'll even say it is delightfully appropriate to the season, and turn up that Bing Crosby song "Snow." In the meantime, safe travels, don't forget to pack emergency supplies in your cars and have the Happiest of Holidays this week!

    1. I'm glad you think so! I like winter for the layering options but it can get frustrating too- especially needing shoes that are able to be in the snow!

  7. Layering at its best.

The mixture of colours and textures against the backdrop of white is gorgeous.

And the coat! My my…that coat reminds me of the film Anna Karenina and some of the stunning military style overcoats they wore for it.

    I love this look.

Have a happy and safe Thanksgiving!

    bisous

  8. This outfit fits you so well and I love the coat. It's very proper looking and I'm glad you are active in the snow! I do not leave my house when it's bad unless someone drives me! Forever terrified of snow over here! Hope you have a lovely holiday.

    1. Driving in snow does take some getting used to, for sure. Did you grow up around snow, or is that a new think since college, Jessica?

  10. My family never went anyway far for Thanksgiving and of course we don't have snow here, so I'd almost forgotten the danger people could face driving in that. If you're driving, hope you're safe Kristian! and those activities sound so sweet, those sort of things make me wish we lived in a small town. i love community things like that. but oh that cold, i dont know how you don't have a beanie on! i was freezing biking to work this morning and it was maybe 47. i love the coat over the blazer though and the scarf color is gorgeous.

    1. I think cold is all relative. In weather where I was riding my bike, 47 degrees sounds cold to me too. It is all in context :)
